Further investments within its growth plan

Castellón, Spain – January 25, 2021 – Grupo Halcón, a Spain-based, global leader in ceramic tiles, announces further investments in the framework of the Group’s growth plan with the launch of two new state-of-the-art lines during 2021 in the Group`s premises in Alcora (Castellón) for the production of large formats and polished finishes. This will be the second new production line that the Group will be launching in 2021, both adding in aggregate 8 million square meters of additional production capacity and increasing the Group’s operational footprint to 16 lines in 2021.

This additional investment will complement the various projects the Group launched during 2020 to strengthen the Group’s value proposition in the marketplace that, additionally to the new production lines mentioned above, also include (i) a new logistical center in Onda (Castellón), a 160,000 square meter facility with areas for covered storage and preparation of loadings for large and small quantities (“picking”), which will allow the Group to consolidate and optimize storage and distribution activities, (ii) two new showrooms, one for each of the Emotion and Halcón Cerámicas brands, located at the Group’s facility in Alcora (Castellón), with a total surface area of 1,400 square meters, for the display of the Group’s latest new designs and formats and (iii) the renewal of the existing production lines with the latest technology and processes. These projects involve a total investment of €45 million during the 2020-2021 period.

Grupo Halcón employs more than 600 people across four factories to generate approximately €150 million of revenue over 100 countries. The Group’s majority shareholder since 2018 is Falcon Private Holdings, the US-based private investment arm of Jamshid Keynejad and Barry Siadat.
